The department uses methods of treatment with genetically engineered biological preparations for highly active rheumatoid, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, vasculitis, and connective tissue diseases.

All doctors of the department are proficient in arthrocentesis technique. Under indications diagnostic punctures of joints are performed, with therapeutic purpose periarticular/intra-articular - injections of glucocorticosteroids, chondroprotectors, hyaluronic acid preparations, antibiotics.
