Hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) is a therapeutic procedure in which the patient is placed and breathes oxygen under increased pressure in a hyperbaric chamber. This allows a multiple increase in the oxygen content in the blood and, therefore, significantly increases its delivery to the organs and tissues suffering from its deficiency as a result of the disease.

The main clinical and physiological effects of oxygenobarotherapy on the human body:

• Normalization of the nutrient balance of the cell.
• Healing effect: acceleration of regenerative processes.
• Active destruction of toxic products in the body and prevention of their formation.
• Stimulating effect: regulation of the functional and metabolic activity of the cell.
• Antibacterial effect: suppression of microbial activity.
• Pharmacodynamic effect: enhancement of drugs action and at the same time reduction of their side effects.
• Restorative effect: unblocking effect on hemoglobin, myoglobin and cytochrome oxidase in carbon monoxide, methyl alcohol, cyanide poisoning, etc.

For a consultation with a doctor in the HBO, the patient must have the following examinations:

• Examination by an ENT doctor for patency of the auditory tubes;
• ECG on the day of consultation;
• X-ray or chest X-ray results (valid for 6 months)
• General blood test on the day of the consultation.
